NorCal Lost Pet Recovery Command SMS Notifications
NorCal Lost Pet uses SMS messaging for low-volume internal operational notifications sent to authorized NorCal Lost Pet personnel.
These notifications may include alerts when a new lost-pet report is submitted through the NorCal Lost Pet reporting system, notifications that a case requires attention, and other time-sensitive Recovery Command operational alerts.
Who receives these messages?
SMS notifications are sent only to authorized NorCal Lost Pet personnel who voluntarily provide their mobile telephone number and agree to receive Recovery Command operational notifications.
How consent is provided
An authorized staff member provides their mobile number directly to NorCal Lost Pet and affirmatively requests or agrees to receive Recovery Command SMS notifications. The number is then entered into the private Recovery Command administration system by an administrator.
These telephone numbers are not obtained from the public lost-pet reporting form for this messaging program. Members of the public do not receive messages under this internal notification program.

Message frequency varies depending upon lost-pet report and case activity.
