Lost-Pet Information and Services
NorCal Lost Pet provides lost-pet education, prevention information, recovery assistance, search planning, and related services.
Information provided through our websites is intended to assist pet owners in making informed decisions. Every lost-animal situation is different, and no particular search or recovery method is appropriate in every situation.
No Guarantee of Recovery
NorCal Lost Pet cannot guarantee that a missing animal will be located, identified, captured, or safely recovered.
Drone searches, thermal imaging, trail cameras, outreach, mapping, sightings, traps, and other recovery methods all have limitations.
Information You Provide
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You authorize NorCal Lost Pet to use information submitted about a missing animal as reasonably necessary to assist with search and recovery activities.
SMS/Text Messaging Terms
When you voluntarily provide a mobile telephone number and expressly opt in to SMS communications, you agree to receive text messages from NorCal Lost Pet relating to your lost-pet report, recovery case, or requested services.
Messages may include report confirmations, information requests, case updates, search coordination, deployment information, sighting notifications, recovery information, and customer-care communications.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS communications.
Reply HELP for assistance.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or receiving services.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting Out
You may withdraw consent for SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.
After opting out, you may still communicate with NorCal Lost Pet through other available methods.
Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by the NorCal Lost Pet Privacy Policy.
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent are not shared, sold, rented, or provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Communications
You understand that communications involving a lost animal can be time-sensitive. However, submission of a report, email, voicemail, text message, or other communication does not guarantee immediate response or deployment.
If there is an immediate threat to human life or a public-safety emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services agency.
Third-Party Resources
NorCal Lost Pet may provide information about shelters, veterinarians, rescue organizations, technology providers, search resources, or other third parties.
A reference or link to another organization does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or representation regarding that organization.
Website and Educational Information
Educational materials are provided for general informational purposes. Users remain responsible for evaluating circumstances and making decisions appropriate for their animal and situation.
